Will + Tori, Wedding

Tori and Will had an unusually warm day for their May wedding, but we were all just grateful that the sun was shining and there was no rain in sight. I think more than a few prayers were prayed for clear skies that day, and those prayers were answered. :)
They had chosen to do a first look prior to the ceremony, so we walked each of them outside under a canopy of trees where they stood back-to-back and read the letters they had written for each other. A few glistening tears were shed as they turned the pages, and then they tucked the notes away and took a deep breath. She turned towards him, and after a tap on the shoulder, Will turned around to see Tori. More tears rolled down their smiling faces as they took in this sweet moment. They spent the rest of their day close to one another, hand-in-hand and ready to say those two words-- I Do.
The next few hours were spent with their wedding party and family, visiting with each other between pictures and trying to stay as cool as possibly in this Tennessee heat. When the time for the ceremony came, the wedding party walked down the isle and the crowd stood as Tori and her dad walked down to meet Will. More happy tears were shed, and the special words were spoken. Blue skies shone above as the bride and groom kissed, and everyone clapped and cheered as they made their way back down the isle as Mr. & Mrs. I have a feeling a few people were clapping and cheering in Heaven at that moment as well.

Theirs was such a special day, and we were incredibly honored to be a part of it! Congratulations, Will & Tori! Thank you so much for asking us to be your photographers.

Jodie + Brandon, Wedding

It was the first weekend in what felt like a long time without a raincloud in sight, and bright sunshine adorned the blue skies above as Jodie and Brandon met for their first look. Though they had a few nerves dancing inside like butterflies, as soon as they saw each other they smiled so big, and those smiles stayed on their faces all day long. We walked around the venue taking pictures, Brandon helping her with her dress as she walked, and Jodie smoothing his wind-tossed hair after each strong breeze. :) I don't know if these things were specifically mentioned in their vows, but I can see them caring for each other like this in another 50 years.

You can tell a lot about a couple by who stands beside them, and this wedding party was filled with family and close friends who were easy-going, who kept us laughing, and who did their best to help out in any way they could. They knew this day was all about celebrating Jodie and Brandon, and they wanted to make it perfect for them. Although it made me feel a little old when half the groomsmen did not know what the Flying V is from The Mighty Ducks (what?!) I have to say, this was a great group for the bride & groom to have by their side. ❤️

Congratulations, Jodie & Brandon! Thank you for letting us be a part of your amazing day!

Hailey + Alex, Wedding

Hailey held her bouquet of beautiful, sweet-smelling flowers as she took her dad's arm and the doors to the ceremony opened. It had been a busy day filled with bobby pins and curling irons, pictures and poses, veils and dresses. But now it was time to focus on what this day was all about-- she and Alex making a loving commitment to one another in marriage. Hailey walked past row after row of her closest friends and family, all standing as she made her way to her groom. Alex had prayed over this marriage before it even began, and now, standing at the alter with his bride, the pastor prayed over them as well. With their daughter Lennon by their side (and making us all stifle a laugh as she made her way dancingly around the stage), they said I Do and sealed their vows with a kiss. Little Lennon walked with them back down the isle as they beamed in happiness.
It doesn't take long for one to see that Alex and Hailey are such a special couple. When you meet these two, you just kind of know that they are the real deal. They have such big hearts and are constantly doing everything they can to help those around them. And, of course, they are very much adored by their sweet Lennon. She might just be their biggest little fan. :)

Congratulations you two! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day!
