Baby Virginia, One Year Session

Maddie asked me if I could come take a few pictures of her daughter Virginia in a similar way as a photograph of Maddie when she was about the same age. She even had the same dress she had worn then, and it fit Virginia perfectly! So we did a simple little session in front of the window in her nursery, and got lots of sweet pictures. Big brother Owen joined in for a few and they had so much fun together. :) It’s amazing what we can do with just a simple setup and two precious kiddos! (And a dog!)

Carmen + Landon, Engagement Session

When Carmen asked me about taking some engagement photos for her at her tiny house, I excitedly said YES! I love in-home lifestyle sessions, and the fact that this was a tiny home just made it even better.

The day of the session arrived and we had some beautiful sunshine to give us that gorgeous natural light inside and out. We got some sweet photos of Carmen and Landon inside the home cuddling with their adorable pup Molly and drinking some hot chocolate, and it was fun getting the grand tour and seeing all the creative solutions for living in this small space. I felt like I was in an episode on HGTV! haha

We ended the session at another location where we used the antique white barn and the lovely scenery that was just starting to bud and bloom with the Spring weather. These two had warned me they were awkward in front of the camera, but they were so great to work with and really were naturals! We got some sweet, sweet photos and I left the session with a smile on my face. It was a good day. :)

Congratulations you two!

Baby Baker, Newborn Session

Oh my goodness, this family needs to be on the cover of a magazine! How gorgeous are they?! It was so hard to narrow the pictures down to just a few for this blog post— I could have chosen another ten to include for you all to see. :)

Heaven must have known these two little girls needed a baby brother, because that is what they were given. Hadley and Leighton were just smitten with their sweet new sibling, and all they wanted to do was love on him and kiss him. We struggled to get a few pictures of the girls looking at the camera, because they didn’t want to take their eyes off baby Baker. I can’t say that I blame them! :) He was finally home after a little stay in the hospital, and their family was all together and loving it. Nothing to do but cuddle close, smile sweetly, and let brother sleep.

Welcome to the world baby Baker!
