These two cuties were so sweet!The younger one was a bit shy at first so the older one helped me show her how much fun it was to get her picture taken. ;) We finally got both of the girls in the same picture together picking "flowers" (grass) and playing around the yard, and then we slowly worked our way toward some individual photos. Sometimes you just can't rush those shy little ones!
We had several families come through for these fun mini sessions, and I had a blast hanging out with all of them! The kids were so fun, and I think a lot of little boys were eager to REALLY go fishing after they got a fishing pole in their hands for the pictures. I love that their imaginations would take over, and they would explore around the pond with wide eyes as they saw frogs and fish and maybe a shark or two (you never know ;) ). We had a little background set up for the girls that came along, which turned out lovely! My friend Cara made that for me and did such a fabulous job. :)Thanks so much to everyone (pictured and not pictured here!) who made this day such fun! It was great to see you all!
Kelly and Hunter were wonderful to work with! They were expecting their first child at the time of these pictures (Kelly gave birth to baby Ellen last week!) and you could see the joy and excitement on their faces. I had such a good time getting to know them a little at their session and hearing a bit of their story, and Kelly's sister came along to help with the dog and to offer her posing expertise, which would always give us a good laugh. ;) By the way, their dog, Henry, was one of the best ones I've photographed and is incredibly cute! If you couldn't tell already....
