Sweet Violet is two years old! It has been such a fun few years working with this family, from the newborn session all the way to this milestone. We went to her grandparents' daylily farm in Kenton, and she smelled the flowers and smiled and walked around with her big sister. We couldn't leave Lily out, of course, so we grabbed a few pictures of her while I was there. :) Always a joy working with them!
Little Leighton is a One-Year-Old!
I had such a great time working with this family for baby Leighton's one year session! And of course, we had to bring big sister Hadley in for a few shots as well. :) These two were adorable, with those big blue eyes and sweet, sweet smiles. I love how soft and girly we were able to take this session as that is what came naturally for these two sisters. Bonnets and hair bows and wildflowers.... <3
A big thanks to their mom and dad who were super helpful in getting these "real" smiles. This was definitely a team effort! You guys did great!
(Dad was acting as the spotter here and I even edited out his arm as it was supporting baby! Don't try this at home unless you take the necessary steps to make sure everyone is safe.)
This sweet family has grown by two this past year, so it was time for some updated family photos! I had such a great time working with the Kings and getting to know them a little bit. Though it was quite a hot afternoon, they stuck with me and I love the smiles we captured!
When we met to order their pictures, Sally and I talked a little bit about how the Lord led them to adoption, and how sometimes His plans are better than our own. :) Times like those are when I remember how much I love my clients. I love hearing their stories and recording these sweet times in their lives, from growing families, to graduations, and wedding days. It truly is a wonderful job and I am grateful I get to work with so many amazing people!
