Families & Little Ones

Fall/Christmas Mini Sessions 2017

I'm so excited to finally share these images with you all! We had some sweet, sweet families come to our annual Fall/Christmas mini sessions this October, and caught lots of precious smiles! It was wonderful seeing the clients who come every year, and so fun meeting a few of you for the first time. My heart is full just looking back at these pictures!
-Thanks so much to my lovely assistant Beth Ann Coates, who did such a great job getting shy little ones to smile, who held the reflector for me, and who carried props around for me, and kept me company in between sessions. You were so helpful, I appreciate you!

The Frilling Family

I had a last-minute opening and this family was able to jump right in and fill the spot! I'm so glad it worked out for us to work together, because it was such a fun session. Lindsay said they had taken pictures in a more natural setting before, so we did something a little different and did their family session downtown Union City. I love being able to incorporate our hometown into their images!
This also doubled as a one year session for sweet Houston, so he got a few extra pictures to celebrate this milestone. :) He loved showing off his newfound walking skills (carefully guided to stay on the sidewalks by his parents) and watching the cars drive down the streets. And he gave us some of the biggest, sweetest smiles! It is obvious he is very loved by his parents and big sister.

Blakely, 20 Month Session

We had been planning my niece's one year session for a while, but it didn't quite come together until she was about 20 months old. :) The important thing is, though we may have been a little late, we got it done! My sister really wanted muted tones and soft light, which is tough to get in September in Tennessee, so we took these as close to sunset as possible. It gave us some beautiful hazy light for their session, and took away some of those vibrant colors in the grass and trees.

Sweet Blakely has grown up so fast, and I can't believe she will be 2 years old soon! She is an adventurous, mischievous little person, and has started forming her own opinions about things. She loves to be outside and explore, which made this session both fun and challenging as she didn't want to be still for long. ;) Moana was her favorite movie when we did this session so she was captivated by the water. She loved looking for turtles and fish!

Love you sweet Blakely! <3
