Baby Charlotte, Newborn Session

If you've been around here for very long, you should know by now that we had two nieces born to our family in June (and have another on the way, due this December!) You could say this is the year of the girls around our family!
I went to take baby Charlotte's newborn pictures the week after she arrived, and she did such a good job for her session. She slept soundly, cuddled closely with her mom and dad, and didn't stir when big sister came into the nursery to play Barbies with her aunt Abie. :) Though she looks very much like Blakely did when she was that young, I know Charlotte will be her own person, and we can't wait to see her unique characteristics shine through the older she gets. 
Blakely is adjusting very well to being a big sister, she adores baby Charlotte and gives her lots of cuddles and kisses. When we did this session, Blakely was a bit sad that I wanted to take their pictures and couldn't just play with her, so she didn't want to sit still for very long. I didn't know if we would get any pictures of just her and Charlotte this time, but at the end when I was taking pictures of her baby sister outside, Blakely decided to go sit beside her and give her some love. The images weren't really posed or planned, but I love them and I am so glad we got some of the two of them together at this stage!

Baby Charlotte, Fresh 48 Session

Our second niece of the year was born just a few days after our first back in June. :) World, meet baby Charlotte! She has a head full of hair and the sweetest little face. I was so excited to be there to photograph the first time she and her big sister met. Blakely walked into the room and once she saw her new baby sister, she clapped her hands over her mouth and giggled and giggled! She just didn't know what to do with all the excitement. She did such a good job giving Charlotte sweet cuddles and kisses, and still adores her now, two months later. Charlotte seems to like her big sister pretty well, too. :)

Baby Grant, Six Month Session

Baby Grant had a few extra people come to his six month session-- all four of his grandparents! If you've been following me for long you know how much I love sessions that include multiple generations, and this one was no different. It is always so special capturing these memories! 
Grant was so fascinated with the world around him that we had to pull out all our tricks to get him to look at the camera. :) Luckily I had lots of help at this session though-- when they weren't pictured, his family was usually right beside me, clapping and singing and playing his favorite song on their phones. We got a few smiles in between him checking out the bright green grass and exploring his new red wagon!
