Families & Little Ones

Baby Parker & Family, Three Month Session

I loved seeing this sweet family again for Parker’s three month session! We had a hot but beautiful day, which doesn’t sound too bad right now while it is cold and rainy. (Though I’m sure if we had landed somewhere in between the high temps then and the cool ones today, we would have been a tad more comfortable!)
Parker loved being held and cuddled, and was mesmerized by all the colors and movement in the trees and such around him during the family pictures. We did a few photos of him in the little basket with his dad’s duck hunting props and his eyes started getting really heavy. :) After he had a quick snack he went right to sleep, as you can see in the last photo with him and big sister Olivia. Naps outside are the best, especially when it is warm and there is a soft breeze, so I can’t really blame him for deciding that was the perfect time to get caught up on some sweet dreams!

Baby John Ira, Six Month Session

John Ira turned six months old over the summer so it was time for another milestone session! He was doing great sitting up on his own, grabbing hold of his tiny feet, and smiling big to show off those little teeth coming in. :) He loved cuddling with his mom and dad, and was quite entertained by big sister Poppy who gave him some sweet hugs and kisses and tickles. Of course we got some photos of just her, too, and the whole family together. Such a fun session and a precious little bunch!

Summertime Mini Sessions at Soleil Garden Center

I saw a moss-covered chair on Pinterest last year and it was my inspiration for these summertime mini sessions! Soleil Garden Center in Union City was gracious enough to let us host them at their beautiful nursery, and it was the perfect background for the organic, botanical feel I was going for. Of course I would choose the hottest weekend in June to do the sessions (never again! haha) but my clients were so sweet and did great in spite of the heat. If we do them again, we’ll definitely make them “spring” sessions and do them in like March. ;) (Just not this March, as I don’t think I could do it being nine-months pregnant!)

We took pictures of lots of precious faces and had a great time working with everyone who came out! These are just a few of my favorite photos from that weekend, though it was so hard to narrow it down to these.

For anyone who is wondering, I made the moss chair myself! I found the chair at a local thrift store and hot glued moss sheets (table runners I found on Amazon) to the fabric. It does shed a lot, but it held together very well for the sessions!
