Their baby boy turned the big ONE last summer, so it was time to get those family pictures updated! :) I met the Patel family at a park here in Union City, and we had a beautiful, sunny morning for their session. It was so fun to see how much their kiddos have grown up over the past year since we did the newborn pictures! I got to capture lots of smiles and giggles while running around the park with this crew, though I definitely felt like I just finished a two-hour CrossFit workout when I was done. 😅 I was still in my first trimester pregnant with our baby boy, so that probably had something to do with it! But it was worth the extra energy and I’m very happy with the pictures we were able to get of those sweet memories they made. Such a precious family and a fun session!
Riley & Finlee Cate, Sister Session
We had the perfect morning for Riley and Finlee’s session, with lots of sunshine and just a touch of those Fall colors peeking through. I’ve worked with this family since Finlee was just in her momma’s womb, and it was so fun to see them again and how much they have grown since our last session! I think we saw a bit more of their personalities in these pictures, and I hope that they smile when they look back on these in the years to come. It will be fun to see how glimmers of their future selves were already showing in this young version of them! A little sweet, a little sass, and a lot of love for each other— the kind only sisters can have.
Baby Maggie, One Year Session
Little Maggie turned a year old, which meant it was time for her final Grow-With-Me session! It is always bittersweet when these packages are finished out, because that means I don’t get to see these little ones and their families every few months anymore. But it is always a joy to have captured the milestones they have reached along the way, and to see how much they grow over their first year in the world! :) People keep telling me that babies grow up fast, and I have seen that many times over with my little clients!
We had a hot afternoon for this session, so we tried to keep it short and keep Maggie and her big brother Jack as comfy as we could, which can be difficult in our stuffy Tennessee heat. We got some sweet little smiles from them though so it was worth toughing it out! :) Maggie showed off her standing and walking skills, all those adorable baby teeth, and those precious curls. She is such a sweetheart and it has been so fun being her first photographer!
Happy first year baby Maggie!
