Seniors

Maci, Senior Class of 2021

I had such a great time working with Maci for her senior session last Fall! Though a lot of leaves had already fallen, we still had plenty left on the trees to give her those warm Autumn tones in the background. I love the outfits she chose, especially her burnt orange romper, because they went so well with the seasonal colors! After the first half of her session at the more natural location, we headed downtown Martin for some change of scenery. The kind folks at Martin’s Coffee let us take a few pictures inside their fine establishment, and Maci grabbed a delicious drink to go. :) A nice way to end a senior session, if I may say so myself!

Congratulations on your graduation, Maci!

Jakob, Senior Class of 2021

Jakob is my husband Jimmy’s cousin, and I can’t believe he is already finished with high school! He’s not the kid I met over seven years ago, that’s for sure. :) He’s about two feet taller and his voice is a few octaves lower now, ha!
We had the locations picked out for his session weeks before, but the morning of his pictures he asked if there was any way we could incorporate a fire into his session. I was not quite sure if we could make it work or how well I could convey the feel he had in mind for those pictures, but with the kind go-ahead from the property owners of that location and with the help of Jakob’s mom who threw lots of leaves in the fire, we got it! It was fun to try something new and do something a bit non-traditional for his senior pictures, even if I was stressing a bit to figure all this out that morning. 😂

Congratulations on your graduation, Jakob! We’re proud of you!

Lauren, Class of 2021

Lauren was so sweet to work with, and gorgeous inside and out! We took these at her family’s farm all the way in Atwood, TN and her dad drove us around on their ATV to get to the best spots on the land. :) Deer ran back to the woods as we rode around, and we passed by cattle in the pasture as we were looking for pretty places with lovely lighting for these senior portraits. Of course, a few of the animals made their way into the pictures, including her sweet puppy dog and her beautiful horse. I didn’t mind that one bit, as you guys should know by now! At the very end I asked if we could get a sunset shot from somewhere up high, and her dad said he knew just the spot. Those were some of my favorites, as the golden light with Lauren’s golden hair went perfectly with the landscape. Such a fun session and definitely worth the bumpy rides through grass taller than we were! :)

Congratulations Lauren! I wish you all the best for your next steps!
