Baby Merritt, Newborn Session

Little Merritt’s mom and dad had a big year last year— from extensive home renovations and out-of-state work trips, to preparing for their sweet baby boy to be born. Merritt made his arrival just in time for Christmas. I think he heard there were pretty lights to see and festive songs to hear and he wanted to experience all of it. :) And though I am sure he had plenty of gifts under the tree, of course his parents’ favorite was him!
When his belly was fully and after lots of back pats, Merritt drifted off to sleep and we were able to get some sweet, sweet pictures of him all cozy and dreamy. You can tell his parents just adore him, and I think he feels the same about them, too. :) I’m so excited to see him again soon and see how much he has grown since this session! I am anxious to see if his hair is going to be red like his dad’s, or if it has turned out more like his momma’s. (No spoilers, if you know this family! haha)

Welcome to the world, baby Merritt!

Baby Conley Jane, Three Month Session

Little Conley Jane did such a good job at her three month session! She wasn’t quite excited about belly time just yet, but she gave us lots of sweet expressions and showed off her new hand and feet coordination skills. :) She fell asleep before I got there so we let her get a little bit of her nap out in the sweet bassinet that had. It’s not everyday I get to photograph a sleeping baby at a three-month-old session! She woke up after a few minutes and stayed awake long enough to see what was going on, before falling back to sleep on her mom and dad for the parent shots. I think she likes cuddling with them a little bit. :) Then she awoke and was up for good, and gave us some sweet baby smiles and giggles! She is just the cutest little thing. It’s crazy how fast she has grown from the newborn session, and we still have a few more milestones to go before her one year photos!

Baby Brooks, One Year Session

I love this family so much! It is hard to believe their second baby is now closer to a toddler than a newborn. Time has truly flown by since little Brooks was born! (And for that matter, big sister Sailor, too!)
For his one year session it was cold and rainy outside so we stayed nice and cozy in their home. After a few parent and sibling shots, Brooks and Sailor had fun picking out their favorite ornaments on the Christmas tree and then taking them off and relocating them elsewhere in the branches. :) Then it was finally time for cake! Brooks wasn’t quite into making a mess of things at first, but eventually he decided the chocolate cake and frosting were pretty good, so he dug in a bit. Sailor was happy when it was over, because she got her piece then! She didn’t mind that it was a bit messier at that point haha.

Happy first year baby Brooks!
