Families & Little Ones

Baby Macon, One Year Session

Who'd have thought it would snow the morning of this session, a week into April? I've come to just shake my head and laugh at this southern weather-- you'd think I would be used to it, but it still manages to surprise me! Thankfully, Soleil Garden Center was the location for little Macon's one year session though, so we were able to duck into some of their beautiful, warm greenhouses and capture some sweet memories for this family. Macon was excited to explore the grounds and check out all the plants, his big blue eyes shining throughout this little adventure. He has grown so much over the past year, from a tiny newborn to an independent toddler, and it has been such a joy working with him and his family to photograph these milestones. Though it is always bittersweet when a Grow-With-Me package comes to an end, the "sweet" always outweighs the rest. :)

Happy first birthday Baby Macon! It has been so much fun being your first photographer!

Baby James, 3 Month Session

Little James is three months old!
It is always such a pleasure to work with this sweet family. It was chilly and we had a chance of rain, so we decided to go to Soleil Garden Center for this session where we were nice and warm in the greenhouses. We got lots of sweet little smiles and couldn't have had prettier backgrounds to work with. :) James wasn't quite a fan of lying on his belly where he couldn't see everything going on, but he loved cuddling with his family and lying on his back, watching everyone. I have a feeling once he can sit up at his next session, he'll be even happier!

Happy 3 Months, Baby James!

Baby Emmett, One Year Session

Oh, baby Emmett, you are such a charming little guy!
I can't believe this is the final session in Emmett's Grow-With-Me package. I had such a fun time working with him and his little family this past year, from his newborn session till now. I call him my little football player, because he has been strong and ahead of his physical milestones at every session! (I remember he was trying to push up on his belly at his newborn session, and was taking a few steps on his own at nine months!) Though I won't pressure him to go the football route, if he does, I hope he still lets me take his family's pictures when he goes pro. ;) However, it seems farming is in his blood so he may grow up to be just like his dad! He sure did love watching the cows at his one year session. :)

Happy first birthday, baby Emmett!
